Dustin "D-Money" Emholtz finally broke his Aoudad dry spell. After a day and a half of stalking, D-Money took this fine specimen from 80 yards with his custom DPMS LR-308.
Jack MItchell used the LR-338L to down one of the top 10 largest inland grizzly bears while hunting in Alaska. Jack utilized a 3-9x40mm Trijicon Accupoint to position the 39 yard shot which downed the bear immediately with a Federal .338 Vital-Shok 210gr. Nosler Partition round.
FOXPRO Pro Staff John Everly, shot with his DPMS .223 custom Bull 20 equipped with a Swarovski Z6 scope at 45 yds in Rankin, Texas with FOXPRO Field Staff Member Randy Watson and his friend Casey Smith, both of Midland Texas. If this cat was at 10 yards, with John at the trigger, the cat probably would have survived. Being that it stepped out of the safe zone, John swiftly executed a well placed shot ending 45 yards away. Nice job Shooter!
I shot it with a DPMS .223 custom Bull 20 with a Swarovski Z6 scope at about 75 yds using a Hornady 55 grain V MAX cartridge in Decatur TX hunting around 12 am.

DPMS Sales Rep, Jason Notch, took this coyote with the new Prairie Panther rifle in early December in Beulah ND using a Fox Pro Electric Caller to lure it into range. The shot was taken at 125yds with Federal Premium 60grain Nosler Partition using a Leupold MK4 3x9 scope.
Jay Nistetter on another successful southern hunt using a LR-243L. Jay notice the cat at 60 yards slowing creeping into his stand. The cat made it another 20 yards closer before Jay put him down.

This 135 pound Central TX 8-point white tail was taken by Frank Griffith on opening day of rifle season with base model LR-308 slightly enhanced with an RRA 2-stage trigger upgrade.
I thought I would send you a pic of my buck I shot on November 14th. He is a 5 by 4 with a broken tine. As you can see, the face is grey and he didn’t have much left for teeth. He was an old guy…Just shy of 19”. I’ll bet he was a real stud 2-3 years ago!
Again, I was using my LR-308 and it was a clean one shot kill at 175yds. I shot my doe the next morning at 125yds with the same result.
I may have to give you a call on a 260 though…cut some weight!

DPMS sales rep, Mark Imholte, with a coyote taken in winter of 2008. Mark used his custom DPMS 308L with Nikon 4x12 IRT scope and 165 grain Hornady SSBT ammo to take the head shot at 166 yards.
Our buddy Kevin, testing out the new Remington 30AR prototype rifle on whitetail.
This trophy whitetail toppled after a 150 yard broadside shot.
Kevin says this is the ultimate whitetail cartridge for the AR15 platform.
Last year I told you I would send you a pictureof my grandson Parker's deer hunting success with a DPMS Panther 6.8 SPC Carbine. Well, I didn't do it. Now I've sent you two pictures, two years in a row, same 70-75 yard broadside shot, perfectly placed lung shots. Entry left side, exit right through ribs. Ran for about 50 yards, till totally on empty and cashed in...
...I have faith, first of all in his ability to shoot properly (I taught him). 2nd of all the cartridge he uses. My own load consisting of: New Remington brass, Winchester primer, 28 grains of H322 plus a 110 grain "Barnes Triple Shock" bullet. Two years, 2 shots, 2 trophy deer. Last but not least the DPMS rifle he is using.
Parker is now 13 years old, he was 12 in the first picture. You could not talk him into any other rifle.

DPMS founder Randy Luth was hunting "down on the farm" in Missouri for trophy whitetail when this coyote made the unfortunate decision to wander into his field of view. The 65 yard shot was made using a DPMS LR-260L with a Leupold scope.
He is no monster but a nice 13 ½ “ taken here in South Dakota. 275yds with the LR-308 topped with a Luepold VX-III 8.5-25x50 LR Target scope using Hornady Custom 150gr SST.

Just got back from the hunt. Long, cold days at subzero chill factors
for the first two days. It snowed about 8 inches and blew like crazy. I
could see herds of elk off in the distance, but not where I could get to
them. On day three it was still and cold. At 0700 hours I found this 6X6
bull at 420 yards. He was down hill and moving away from me- about to
cross over a ridge out of sight- I had to make a decision quick. I shot
and got him through the spine. He went right down.
Keep in touch and thanks to DPMS for the great LR-308!

My name is Preemesh. That is my son Ryder in the picture with me. The rifle is a slightly modified DPMS Lo-Pro Classic. Thanks once again.

Randy Luth shows off a leopard taken in July 2009 while on safari in Zimbabwe, Africa using the new AR-style Single Shot .308 from DPMS. From a firm rest, Luth was able to deliver a one shot, one kill with Remington Premier 180gr. Core Lokt as the leopard stood on his hind legs feeding.
Randy Luth poses with the klipspringer he shot while on safari July 2009. The klipspringer was taken in Zimbabwe, Africa with the guidance of Roy Ludick, PH. A long 160 yd frontal shot from the new DPMS AR-style Single Shot .308 and Remington Premier 180gr. Core-Lokt ammo assured Luth of a hit even from his twisted position.
The agile genet cat is no easy target, but Randy Luth was able to take one while on a recent safari in Zimbabwe. The 55yd shot was taken using the new DPMS AR-style Single Shot .308 and Remington Premier 180gr. Core-Lokt ammo.

I just wanted to send you a message and let you know that my DPMS LR308 worked flawlessly on a 6x6 elk. The rifle holds sub 1/2 MOA from the bench, this combined with the services of North Country Elk in Baudette, MN made a memorable hunt.

NOTE: Sasquatch appeared mysteriously in the image only after it was developed and emailed to the DPMS sales staff.

This gunshy little 'yote had a taste for domestic turkey, killing all but 5 of them on a friend's farm.
Using my semi-custom DPMS LR-308 I was able to give it a 165gr cure for its indigestion with a
terminal headache from 200 yrds out.The medicating BTSP pill was inserted into the right side of
the muzzle, just below the right eye and exited the left shoulder permanently treating it in its tracks.
I started with a basic DPMS LR-308 and replaced the trigger with a JP adj model, the A2 stock
for a Magpul PRS and the pistol grip for the DPMS Tactical grip, the free float tube
for the DPMS Carbon fiber version. The barrel is still the original 24in S/S 1:10
The scope rings are Badger Ordnance and the scope is a Leupold Mk4 4.5-14x50 Mildot.
A couple of years ago I submitted a pic of the first Whitetailed Buck I dropped 3 weeks
after I purchased the rifle. All I did was install a scope and go hunting.I see that pic is still on display.
I hope the Dead Animal page can use and has room for the first coyote I dropped using a DPMS
rifle.
I said it before and will say it again:" A Big Thank You for making such a sweet shooting rifle."
Happy Hunting

Here's a shot of Ted Nugent and friends who took this hog with his custom DPMS 308.
Here's another of Ted Nugent with a custom DPMS 308.
Hey Guys,
Here are a few of the pictures taken from the hunt. I really enjoyed meeting all you guys and I am looking forward to many more hunts together. I was lucky enough to use Jim Hodges DMPS LRT-SASS. I sighted it in and all shots were called and hit the mark. This Black Hawaiian was over 200 yards away. I called a heart shot and that was that.
It was taken with Magpul stock and Leupold scope and your tack driving weapon system. I am looking forward to getting one, I am impressed!
Thanks!
Greg Hurley
I did it! I shot my first hog - approx 200 pound male. Here is a picture of me and my 4 year old son Ryan with it. We had to take the picture fast because I could barely stand the smell of that thing...and Ryan was a bit scared of it in the dark. I used a DPMS LR-308 with a Sure Fire suppressor and Leupold scope. Once I confirmed it was a hog, I loaded the gun, stuck ear plugs in my sons ears & sat him on the floor, and got the scope on the hog. He started to run off and I was worried he wasnt coming back. Just as I thought my chance was gone, he turned and came back toward me and stopped about 80 yards out in front of my stand. I didnt wait at all, he turned broadside for a second, I shot, and he dropped.

"Tate" Moots and his trophy Aoudad taken in Texas, with his custom semi-automatic rifle featuring a DPMS LR chassis, a 23" ABS carbon-fiber barrel and carbon-fiber free float tube from DPMS. Tate used Hornady factory 200gr. .338 RCM ammunition and a Leupold Mark 4 3.5-10x40 scope to take down the Aoudad at approximately 100 yards.
