Law Enforcement Agency Ordering Rifles Directly
Rifles can ship directly to a department
- If the rifle is shipping directly to the department, we must have:
- Fill out, print and send the NFA (National Firearms Act) Restricted Law Letter. This document states that the rifle is restricted by the National Firearms Act and is to be used for Law Enforcement purposes only. This document only applies to Full-Auto, Tri-Burst, or Short Barreled Rifles.
- Federal Excise Tax Exemption Form
- Purchase Order for rifles or official request on letterhead.
- Full Auto or Short Barrel rifles can be ordered by a department
- County must be listed at the bottom of the sales order in bold letters for ATF paperwork.
- Full Auto or Short Barrel must be listed in bold letters at the bottom of the sales order for ATF paperwork. If the rifle is both
- Short Barrel AND Full Auto, then Full Auto is listed.
Allow 60-90 days for ATF paperwork to process.
