Sale Restrictions

No sales of ANY merchandise to:

Chicago, Massachusetts, Washington D.C and Puerto Rico.

All firearms will be shipped to the premise address on the FFL license unless you call and request it to ship to the mailing address. All licenses will be validated through FFL EZ Check and must match exactly to avoid delays and cancellation. It is the responsibility of the dealer to ensure that DPMS has an updated copy of the FFL license.

No ammunition, third-party items ( Drop Ship ) or ANY firearms will be shipped to a Post Office Box. 

Freight Forwarding is required for shipments to Alaska and Hawaii.


Lowers/ Receivers Restrictions

Stripped Receivers (AR or AK)

No stripped receivers will be shipped to the following jurisdictions:

  1. Colorado (Boulder, Denver, Vail)
  2. Connecticut
  3. Delaware
  4. Massachusetts
  5. New York
  6. Illinois (Chicago, Aurora, Highland Park, Deerfield, and Cook County)
  7. Rhode Island
  8. Washington D.C.

Stripped Frames (Dagger, Rock 5.7, and Jakl)

No stripped receivers will be shipped to the following jurisdictions:

  1. California
  2. Massachusetts
  3. Washington D.C.
  4. Chicago, Illinois
  5. New York
  6. Maryland

Completed Receivers (AR and AK)

No stripped receivers will be shipped to the following jurisdictions:

  1. California

Firearm Restrictions

The dealer is responsible for knowing the state laws regarding firearm transfers. Contact your local ATF or local police department with any questions regarding the sale or transfer of firearms. The dealer assumes all responsibility and cost for returned firearms due to refusal or failure to receive. Shipments will not be held at the hub for pickup.

AR / AK Rifles

Non-compliant AR and AK rifles will not be shipped to the following jurisdictions:

  1. California
  2. Colorado (Boulder, Denver, and Vail)
  3. Illinois (Chicago, Aurora, Highland Park, Deerfield, or Cook County)
  4. Connecticut

AR / AK Parts

No Uppers will be shipped to the following jurisdictions:

Minnesota: The following firearms are prohibited for shipment to the state of Minnesota: GSG Rimfire pistols, Walther Rimfire Pistols, Cobra, Phoenix Arms, and Heritage Arms.


Melting Point Restrictions

Illinois: All handguns having a barrel, slide, frame or receiver which is a die casting of zinc alloy or other non-homogeneous metal that melts or deforms at a temperature of less than 800 degrees Fahrenheit are prohibited.

Minnesota: All handguns having a barrel, slide, frame or receiver which is a die casting of zinc alloy or other non-homogeneous metal that melts or deforms at a temperature of less than 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit, of any material having an ultimate tensile strength of less than 55,000 pounds per square inch, and of any powdered metal having a density of less than 7.5 grams per cubic centimeter are prohibited.

Hawaii: All handguns having a frame or receiver of which is a die casting of zinc alloy which has a melting temperature of less than 800 degrees Fahrenheit are prohibited.


Magazine Restrictions

We WILL NOT replace high capacity magazines with state compliant magazines. We DO NOT offer refunds in place of the magazines.

It is the dealer’s responsibility for understanding state laws regarding magazine capacities.

DPMS will ship high capacity magazines to a High Capacity Magazine Dealer in California.

10+ Magazine Restrictions

No Magazines with a capacity of more than 10 rounds will be shipped to the following jurisdictions:

  1. California
  2. Colorado (Boulder)
  3. Connecticut (with valid permit)
  4. Hawaii
  5. Illinois (Highland Park, Deerfield, Dolton, Homewood, and Cook County)
  6. Maryland
  7. New York
  8. New Jersey
  9. Rhode Island
  10. Vermont (Rifle Mags)
  11. Washington (effective July 1, 2022) 

15+ Magazine Restrictions

No Magazines with a capacity of more than 15 rounds will be shipped to the following jurisdictions:

  1. Colorado
  2. Illinois (Aurora, Skokie, Chicago, and Evanston)
  3. Vermont (Pistol Mags)

16+ Magazine Restrictions

No Magazines with a capacity of more than 16 rounds will be shipped to the following jurisdictions:

  1. Illinois (North Chicago)

17+ Magazine Restrictions

No Magazines with a capacity of more than 17 rounds will be shipped to the following jurisdictions:

  1. Delaware

5+ Shotgun Magazine Restrictions

No shotgun magazines with a capacity of more than 5 rounds will be shipped to the following jurisdictions:

  1. Illinois (Deerfield)

Permit for Magazine Purchase (FOID/FID)

You must have a permit to purchase magazines in Connecticut.


Magazine Restriction Exceptions

  1. Law enforcement officers must provide both their credentials and a certification on a letterhead signed by their department's superior officer stating that the magazine will either be used in the execution of the L.E.O.'s duties, or off duty. PSA only recognizes City Police Officers, County Sheriff Deputies, and State Police (including Highway Patrol) as L.E.O.’s.
  2. Some of the states listed above may not have L.E.O. exemptions. Please contact us BEFORE placing your order.
